Water issues are complicated. Unfortunately, most water-related coverage is equally complicated, often boring and full of jargon only water buffs understand. Hannah Leigh Myers simplifies things a bit with this illustrated Water Words video series for the Water Desk.

Over the course of 2019, Hannah Leigh Myers produced a radio series for KGNU radio on the FLOWS environmental leadership group. The series, which included radio shorts, audio documentaries, call-in shows and an in-person panel at the Dairy Art Center in Boulder, highlighted the importance of recognizing marginalised groups as leaders in climate work and the necessity to engage those communities in climate action. Each year, The Tipi Raisers, make a 400 mile horseback trek from Colorado to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota in solidarity with the Oglala Lakota people. Hannah Leigh joined the 2018 Lakota Ride for a day of the three week journey and heard just how much the cross cultural relationships the trip fosters mean to the people of Pine Ridge, struggling to survive in the community with the lowest per capita income and life expectancy in the United States.
